In a world that never stops scrolling, flying, or striving, Dominique Antiglio is inviting us to pause. The founder of BeSophro and a pioneer of modern Sophrology — a mind-body practice often dubbed “meditation for people who can’t meditate”— Antiglio blends clinical expertise with the elegance of intuition. With over two decades of experience and a cult-followed community, she’s redefining what it means to truly rest, especially for those constantly on the move.
Now, thanks to an exclusive partnership to celebrate the launch of the Wellbeing Collection, SLH Club Members can access the BeSophro membership during their stays — transforming travel time into a chance to reset, recharge, and reconnect. From conquering flight anxiety to easing jet lag, Antiglio’s method is less about escaping life and more about arriving fully into it.

For those new to the practice, can you briefly explain what Sophrology is and how it fits into a modern traveller’s lifestyle?
Sophrology is often described as “meditation for people who can’t meditate.” We all know how beneficial meditative practices can be – science and ancient wisdom now agree on that — but many people still struggle to actually do them in real life. They feel like they’re failing at something that’s supposed to help them. That’s where Sophrology comes in.
It’s a simple, practical method that blends breathing, relaxation, visualisation, and gentle movement, all guided step by step. You don’t need any previous experience, and it only takes a few minutes a day.
As a Sophrologist with over 25 years of clinical experience, I’ve seen just how transformative this method can be, helping people feel more balanced, focused and in tune with themselves, so they can, ultimately, unlock their full potential at work or their personal life.
In today’s fast-paced world, especially for frequent travellers, Sophrology is a great tool to manage stress, find calm, and reset — wherever you are. It’s not about escaping life, but meeting it with more clarity, energy, purpose and presence.
You’ve travelled extensively yourself — how has Sophrology helped you personally stay balanced and grounded on the road?
Travel has been a big part of my life, I particularly love Southeast Asia for its food, art, spirituality, and natural beauty. Ironically though, I’ve never been a relaxed flyer! Sophrology helped me overcome flight anxiety and even sleep on long-haul flights. Once I arrive, even if I’m there for work or speaking engagements, I tend to feel energised and excited. I think years of practising Sophrology has helped me stay grounded, adaptable, and more open to the unpredictability that comes from stepping out of routine.
In today’s fast-paced world, especially for frequent travellers, Sophrology is a great tool to manage stress, find calm, and reset — wherever you are.

Changing time zones and sleeping in unfamiliar environments can really disrupt rest. How can Sophrology support better sleep and a sense of calm while travelling?
Jet lag can really throw off our physiological rhythms, impacting not just how we sleep, but also how we feel physically, mentally, and emotionally. For frequent travellers, that disruption can be a real challenge. That’s why I always recommend combining basic jet lag strategies with a few minutes of daily Sophrology.
Simple things like gradually shifting your sleep schedule before you travel, staying hydrated, getting natural light exposure when you arrive, and aligning with your destination’s time zone as soon as possible, can make a big difference. But your mindset plays a key role too. How you approach the journey — whether you’re calm or anxious, open or stressed, impacts how your body adapts.
Practising for just 10 minutes a day, starting a few days before your travel, with gentle breathing, movement, and visualisation, can help you reset, find calm, and fall asleep more easily in unfamiliar environments. And when your mind and body are in sync, you’re not just managing jet lag, you’re setting yourself up to feel focused, energised, and ready to make the most of wherever you are.
I’ve supported global executives, frequent flyers, and high-performing teams through intense travel schedules. And across the board, Sophrology has helped them sleep better, adapt faster, and feel more energised for what’s ahead.
Jet lag and overstimulation can be challenging for frequent travellers. Does BeSophro offer specific techniques to help unwind and reset after a long journey?
Absolutely. As a frequent traveller and a parent, I know what it’s like to juggle everything — packing, logistics, work — and then suddenly be expected to switch into “holiday mode” the moment you arrive. It’s not always easy to relax on demand. That experience was a big inspiration behind the Travel Reset series on BeSophro.
We created it to support that in-between moment — when your body’s still catching up and your mind needs space to slow down. The series includes short Sophrology sessions designed to ease jet lag, release post-travel tension, calm an overstimulated nervous system, and support sleep — especially when you’re adjusting to a new place.
The beauty of Sophrology is that it’s not about doing it perfectly. It’s about taking a moment for yourself, to create a little space to truly arrive. Not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too. So, you can really make the most of your break.
We’re thrilled to offer our Club Members access to the BeSophro membership. What kinds of tools or experiences can they expect from it during their stays?
Whether you’re travelling for work or winding down on a break, we’ve designed the platform to support you in the moments that matter most. Inside, you’ll find a full library of Sophrology content: from quick on-demand sessions (five to 25 minutes) to guided programmes like Travel Reset, which support you step by step on your journey — whether that’s adjusting to a new time zone or simply finding your feet after a busy day.
SLH guests can access sessions to ease into restful sleep, recharge between meetings, or start the day feeling calm and centred. Many are just a few minutes long — ideal for in-room rituals or quiet moments between plans. Everything is designed to feel simple and supportive, with no equipment, no pressure, just gentle tools to help you feel more like yourself again.
Can you share a quick bedtime Sophrology technique that SLH Club Members could try tonight — whether they’re in Tokyo or Tuscany?
One of my favourite techniques before bed is to practice a full Body Scan. It’s a simple but effective way to ease physical tension and quiet a busy mind before sleep. Simply lie down, breathe gently, and bring your attention to different parts of the body — slowly moving from your feet to your head — releasing any tightness or leftover energy from the day.
We’ve created an exclusive version of this practice for SLH Club Members. Just sign-up or log-in to your SLH Club account to access this exclusive offer from BeSophro membership.
