Travel planning for the new year is already well underway, and our newest hotel members are providing plenty of holiday inspiration — whether it’s whizzing down powdery slopes in the Austrian Alps or soaking up some winter sun on Sri Lanka’s palm-lined shores.
1. Park Lane Copenhagen, Denmark
Opens January 2025
Originally a 1920s cinema in northern Copenhagen’s Hellerup district, Park Lane Copenhagen has recently been reimagined as a boutique hotel. The creamy colour palette of earthy browns and hints of green is designed to reflect the hotel’s Øregård Park outlook, combining wood, marble, leather, mohair and bronze for a polished, minimalist aesthetic. The hotel’s chic restaurant and wine bar opens onto a terrace for al fresco dining, while the fireplace inside sets a cosy scene for autumn and winter. You’re mere moments from the sea, and around 20 minutes’ cycle from the city centre.

2. Eriro, Austria
Opened August 2024
An everything-included retreat perched within Austria’s Tyrolean Alps, Eriro effortlessly blends indoor-outdoor living from its high-altitude setting. Arriving by cable car, views of snowy peaks and towering pine trees unfold in every direction. The timber tones that flow through each of the nine bedrooms are sustainably hewn from local forests, and glass curtain walls put the mountains on dazzling display. After a day of hiking or skiing, unwind in the nature-inspired spa’s spruce sauna, relaxation pools, or meditation cavern, before sipping some Almdudler (Austrian herbal lemonade) on your balcony or beside a crackling fireplace. Dishes in the zero-waste restaurant change with the seasons and are presented on smooth pebbles and moss-carpeted wooden boards.
3. Taru Villas The Long House, Sri Lanka
Tucked away on Sri Lanka’s western coast, Taru Villas The Long House is made for barefoot Bentota beach holidays. Warm waters of the Indian Ocean gently lap the golden shoreline, while swaying palms and poolside parasols offer sun-dappled shade. Rooms and suites are a cocooning combination of sea-framing views, four-poster canopy beds, silk printed furnishings and tropical tones. There’s a long, slender outdoor pool to lounge beside, while the beach can be reached by crossing a railway track at the end of the garden. Ask the butler team to rustle up a fresh cocktail and deliver it beachside, or tuck into inventive Asian fusion dishes back at the dining pavilion.

4. Taru Villas Maia, Sri Lanka
Blending into the flourishing forest, plantations and Habarana’s verdant paddy fields, Taru Villas Maia encourages guests to switch off from the modern world and tune into nature. Balmy days are slow paced here, spent between the infinity pool, your luxurious chalet, or wellness pavilion. Shaded by its jungle roof, the garden benches invite you to curl up with a book, while the chirruping of wild birds and rustling leaves serenade your restorative yoga or meditation session. Answer the call of the wild by booking onto a Minneriya elephant safari, and witness one of the world’s largest gatherings of Asian elephants.
5. The Moon Mansion, China
Volcanic rock meets modern design in sweeping lines and eye-catching curves at The Moon Mansion in Tengchong, the land of lakes, dormant volcanoes and misty ginkgo forests. Many of the bedrooms come with naturally carbonated spa pools, and suites have private terraces for tea sipping and drinking in the mountain and hot spring views. Yue dining is a light-flooded space, serving a tempting menu of local and fusion dishes alongside afternoon tea. The hotel’s crowning jewel, though, is a shimmering, crescent-shaped cliffside infinity pool that’s the largest in Asia.
