There’s no shortage of glamorous hideaways in Paris, but few manage to bottle an era quite like Hotel Norman. Steps from the Champs-Élysées, this newcomer channels the seductive polish of midcentury modernism with the confidence of a hotel that knows exactly who it’s for: travellers who appreciate quiet luxury, meticulous design, and a touch of Mad Men swagger. It’s the French capital, reimagined through a 1960s lens — all warm woods, graphic lines, and a mood that invites you to slow down and savour the scene.
THE LOWDOWN
Tucked on a quiet corner just off the Champs-Élysées, Hotel Norman is a midcentury modern lover’s haven. Interior designer Thomas Vidalenc paid homage to graphic artist Norman Ives when designing this hotel, whose mix of earthy tones, vintage furniture, and geometric motifs lend a distinctly 1960s aesthetic. The overall impression is reminiscent of an exclusive, Mad Men-era members’ club, but the genuinely friendly service and palpable sense of ease result in a truly welcoming feel.

Tell Us About the Rooms…
If you prefer laid-back cool over Parisian grandeur, this is the place for you. Each of the 37 rooms features sumptuous furnishings like leather recliners, plush sofas, and velvety-soft rugs, complemented by a warm colour palette. Several rooms boast balconies overlooking the streets below or inner courtyard, as well as separate living areas and luxurious soaking tubs. Coming with the family? There are a handful of suites that can comfortably sleep three to four people across two floors. Air conditioning, coffee machines, TVs, and Bluetooth speakers can be found in every room.
THE FOOD & DRINK?
Luckily for steak frites-worn guests, there’s a Thai restaurant headed up by Chef Apiradee Thirakomen (aka Chef Thiou), where you’ll find reimagined French and Thai classics — think Magret de canard with ginger and black mushrooms, and chocolate fried spring rolls — served alongside creative cocktails. Diners can make use of the leafy, Thai-inspired patio when the weather’s cooperative, and when it comes to an after-hours nightcap, the lobby-level bar hits all the right notes: stylish, sexy, and snug.
For those who prefer to sup in their bathrobes, club sandwiches, pasta, and the like are all available via the hotel’s round-the-clock room service menu.

ANYTHING ELSE TO NOTE?
Small as it may be, the hotel’s subterranean spa is its pièce de résistance — especially if you’re lucky enough to have it all to yourself. A heated plunge pool, sauna, and cold shower bucket are available to aid guests in recovering from last night’s red wine, while a full treatment menu by Omnisens features everything from Japanese lifting facials to prenatal massages. There’s also a small gym, just the right size for a single person or couple to get in a workout before hitting the Champs-Élysées for some cardio.
