Lydia Swinscoe

Lydia is a nomadic travel writer who contributes to an array of global titles, including Condé Nast Traveller, Service95, Wallpaper*, Harper's Bazaar, ELLE, Marie Claire, The Sunday Times, BBC Travel and The Standard. Currently based in Sri Lanka, she has a penchant for small, arty, creative hotels, yet will always be a backpacker at heart, preferring to journey slowly for extended periods using local overland transport. India, Bolivia, Nepal, Guatemala and Sri Lanka are just a few of her favourite countries, the majority of which she has explored solo.
